Charmaine greeted us at 5:20 am with a smile. Her compassion from the start was tremendous. She made it her priority to make sure the patient was comfortable as well as our family. My dad had both a lung resection and hernia repair. Charmaine expressed her joy with us at the fact his lung tumor was not cancerous as believed! When we had not received word from recovery, I checked with her and she called for a status update. When we were in the ICU waiting room and had not received an update once again, I checked with Charmaine and she got us an update and then walked us to the room. Charmaine is an OR nurse by specialty but you'd never know it by the exemplary care she provided us in the waiting room. Charmaine, we would have been lost without you. Literally.
