I would like to commend the actions of an ER nurse, who was my Mom's nurse in the Emergency Department recently. My Mom had a possible blood clot in her leg, five days post-surgery.
Cindy had such a kind, friendly manner showing due concern for the patient. She also offered to get my sister and me water to drink. Cindy was very thorough and listened to each of our concerns.
I don't spend a lot of time in the ER, however, I have been there from time-to-time with my various special needs foster children. I wanted to make an effort to bring this wonderful nurse to your attention.
...
Cindy started as a volunteer in the ED and then went on to nursing school and her goal was to come back and work as an RN in the ED. She is a star RN in the ED, she works hard on every aspect of her RN roles. She consistently has excellent documentation and her patients and families always lift up how caring she is. She always goes up and beyond with every patient that she cares for.
