Lori Blevins, RN was recognized as DAISY Award Honoree by Patti Hart, Director of Nursing, Children's Hospital and Women's Health.
Lori is a wonderful asset and a great team player on Peds Acute Care. She is always willing to answer questions from staff and visitors and she always has a smile. She has a positive attitude which is contagious! Once when I was preparing to wash the hair of a trauma patient, Lori jumped to my aid without prompting.
Many of our patients and families are from out of town, visiting Hershey Park. Lori makes sure the family, as well as the patient, are cared for. She will use our family centered care resources for meals, toiletries, and travel accommodations.
Lori is an active member of our integrated council. She disseminates information to the unit and takes concerns back to the council as needed. I know that I will have a good day when Lori is working with me.
