Upon entering The University of Kansas Hospital, Gina was our assigned nurse for the first three days. Immediately, she did everything to make us feel comfortable and secure. She is very caring and thorough. She is constantly on the go and is always checking on us to make sure we are doing okay. She takes time to explain what she is doing and to answer our many questions. She is such a caring nurse and person.

On the third day of our stay, she suggested to us that there was another room available that had a much better view. Since she knew we would be in the hospital at least 30 days, she thought a room with a better view might be more uplifting. She and the aide moved us in no time. The move meant more work for her, but such a nice gesture of kindness to us. We appreciate all she has done for us.

Gina is always fast, helpful, thorough, kind and goes the extra mile. She takes time to talk with me and makes sure all my needs are met. When I push the call button, Gina is there is under two minutes! Gina takes pride in her work and you can tell it is more than just a job to her. She clearly enjoys what she does.
