I have transitioned from a military career caring for the sick to being sick myself, and I have never seen someone who demonstrates as much compassion and patience as Katie did. As a patient, I have had a number of nurses and have never felt so scared. Not only because I was a patient, but also because I was a rape victim. I was in a terrible panic when she examined me. I was so frightened of the pain but she explained everything to me with great satisfaction and she was very patient with me. I feel that she understood what was happening and helped me feel comfortable with the entire procedure. She was very comforting and offered me great support so that I did not feel like I was all alone anymore. Thanks for being such a wonderful nurse.

During the toughest time in my life, Katie was beyond kind and helpful. I had a very difficult and sensitive situation and she handled it wonderfully. She was compassionate, yet professional. She was very efficient. She put my health and safety above all else. She even took a couple extra hours to just support and listen to me. I could not have gotten through that day without her!
