My father was admitted to the hospital because of a large tumor on his leg. On his ninth day here he was transferred to the Med/Surg unit to prepare for a surgery that gave him a new outlook on life. He was nervous at first. He had not been treated well in the past, but when he met Tuyen she was so kind. She took the time to listen to him and calm any fears he had. She was kind to us.
I have an eight-year-old sister and a thirteen-year-old brother; they asked questions and she answered them even though she didn't have to. Every interaction she had, she treated others with dignity, respect, and care. On her last night working with him, he had taken a shower and wanted his hair out of his eyes. He asked me to help but I didn't know how. Tuyen, unprompted, unexpectedly stepped in and braided his hair.
She went above and beyond to help my father feel as comfortable as possible. She is an amazing nurse. I truly believe you are lucky to have her on your team!
