Liz is an angel walking amongst us. My story with Liz begins approximately 4.5 years ago. I was a first-time mom to twin boys. One twin was in the regular nursery and one was in the neonatal ICU. As a first-time mom, to twins, I was overwhelmed, to say the least. Liz was assigned to my care and I am thankful every day for that miracle. Liz went above and beyond to support and encourage me. She sat with me when I was overwhelmed. When one twin stayed in the NICU for an extra day while the other son and I were discharged to home. Liz went back to sit with my baby in NICU with what precious little time she had. I still get choked up when I think of that kindness and how it impacted me. Fast forward to this year and I delivered a beautiful daughter. Fate was on my side again as my delivery coincided on Liz's shifts. There is a certain confidence in having a baby when it is not your first; however, all new challenges as I began to navigate being a mom of three. Not only did Liz take care of my physical needs, but she was also yet again a rock of kindness, support, and comfort. She spent her precious free time talking to and reassuring me about my decision to formula feed my daughter. I was so worried I would be judged in the hospital, but Liz truly listened to me and provided reassurance that I was doing what I knew in my heart to be the right thing for my family. I could go on for hours about Liz, I am so blessed measure to have had her as my nurse.
