My father was a patient on the 3rd floor cardiac unit in March 2018. He passed away on the 5th floor a few days later. While on the 3rd floor he became belligerent and had many problems due to blood gas imbalances. My father was a highly educated man and always polite and a gentleman. But due to his illness, he had many problems at the end of his hospitalization. Rachel was his nurse. Although a young and new nurse at Forbes she demonstrated the highest degree of professionalism to my father and to our family. She went beyond the call of duty to ensure his care, well-being, and safety. She helped us and more importantly, him, during an exceedingly difficult time and we will never forget her kindness and professionalism. It has been almost 6 months since my father has passed away, but I wanted to recognize this true DAISY Nurse who helped us and him in our hour of need.
