If the true mission of your hospital is to extend the healing ministry of Christ then Jamie exemplifies this to the fullest, not only in words but by her actions. An unexpected visit of 11 days with difficulty in reaching a diagnosis left me feeling very vulnerable and frightened. She was always by my side with her warmth, caring and words of hope and understanding. She exudes empathy and in combination with her medical expertise, certainly make her a DAISY Nurse.

My mom had an unexpected set back with her chemotherapy treatment for breast cancer. It landed her in the hospital for 11 days on oxygen and with a lot of unanswered questions. I flew in to be with my mom and help advocate for her. When I met her nurse, I noticed immediately that she sensed my mom was scared, sad and overwhelmed. Her compassion and spirituality in these moments were very reassuring. She also was very supportive of me when I voiced my concern about being too outspoken with the doctors. She said always ask questions. You know your mom best. Jamie is an exemplary nurse and overall human being who's calling to help people is strong.
