When a patient told Andrea after urgent colon surgery that her birthday was the following day, Andrea arranged for decorations to be brought to her room.
"Andrea was an amazing nurse, especially when I was in a great amount of pain and in the hospital for my birthday," the patient wrote. "She was a great advocate and very comfortable to work with. Her compassion and professionalism were outstanding. She made my birthday in the hospital really special," she added.
