Amanda was nominated by the family member of a recent patient. This family member is an RN herself. The nomination is the picture of patient-centered care:

"Amanda took the time to listen and pay attention to what her patient was telling her. She did her very best to try to follow her patient's wishes, and her patient did very well while under her care."

It is that simple. This family had a personal experience with Amanda and through that experience they felt the impact of her compassion and sensitivity, she listened to her patient's story.
