I would like to thank all of the nurses and staff at St. Charles emergency room and everyone on the fourth floor for their great care. However, during my stay, one person stands out as an angel sent from above: Tammi Jo Virgil. I was admitted to the hospital with a very bad infection of the left breast. I had been diagnosed with breast cancer just about one year ago and of course, I had great fear. Things were happening to me that caused me great concern. Tammi Jo took me by the hand and explained in easy to understand terms what was happening and why and what the tests the doctor had ordered meant. She was an advocate for me and brought things to the doctor's attention that helped to get me moving in the right direction in my care. Her kind compassion and warm smile helped me through a rough time. Tammi Jo treated me with the care of a "loving daughter". She made me feel safe and extremely cared for. I can't thank her enough for her kind and compassionate care. She is a ray of sunshine, she truly exudes the love of her work and she is beyond extraordinary. She is a true DAISY Nurse.
