Jinnie Rodriguez, RN, Telemetry, is "no ordinary nurse," says 6th floor manager Christine Tran. "She has the capability and willingness to contribute to the growth and progress of the Telemetry unit and the organization as a whole."
Jinnie is a staff RN who often assumes the role of Charge Nurse and ARCIS super-user. She is Chair of the Telemetry Unit Council, leading patient and associate satisfaction initiatives such as hourly rounding to educate patients and families on medication usage and pain management, and associate birthday recognitions and the Star Award.
Jinnie is a dedicated leader, working five days a week during SFMC's past Joint Commission Survey to help ensure that Survey standards for environment of care, infection control, crash carts, patient rooms, medications, and documentation were met. Most recently Jinnie served as the main staff resource for the upgrade of the Telemetry unit's central monitoring system. Her leadership efforts facilitated a smooth and seamless transition.
Jinnie is a team player with excellent interpersonal skills. She is well-liked by patients, families, physicians, and co-workers and is available to provide guidance, help, and support to staff at every level. Enthusiastic and professional, Jinnie advances quality, service, and the patient experience, and always steps up to do what is right for both patients and other associates.
