Lisa is described as being caring, committed, enthusiastic, and determined to give excellent patient care. In one particular situation, the patient commended Lisa for "possessing the right amount of empathy and seriousness". They stated that Lisa is "very knowledgeable and is able to explain things without making them feel dumb". The patient states that Lisa's "positive attitude is contagious" and she is always willing to "go the extra mile". He feels that Lisa should be recognized for her hard work and dedication.
Lisa is described by her peers as being a team member whose heart and soul is based in Oncology helping her patients do as well as possible while receiving chemotherapy. She always has a bright and smiley attitude and a caring respect for her patients.
Although Lisa is a "younger nurse" her peers state she is one of the most experienced nurses, acting as a mentor and preceptor, always sharing her knowledge and passion for oncology. She is known for striving to make the Oncology unit an exceptional environment to work in. Lisa is engaged, constantly working to benefit the unit by researching new projects and taking active role in keeping up-to-date with the most current oncology practices to maintain a high standard of patient care. She recently obtained her certification in Oncology Nursing showing how dedicated she is to her profession. Congratulations Lisa!!
Her managers and peers feel that Lisa is an integral member to the Oncology unit as well as Midland Memorial Hospital and are pleased to have her on their team.
