Kelcy showed us so much compassion during our stay. The Hugs Alarm went off and my wife was concerned because our baby was not in the room at the time. Kelcy left quickly to make sure our daughter was okay. This established a calm, relaxed mood. I like that we didn't have to ask her to make sure the baby was okay, she just did it seeing the concern on my wife's face. Her care was wonderful. She treated my wife like a person and not just a name on a list she had to attend to. For that we are forever grateful.
Kelcy is an example for her co-workers to follow. Being first time parents we were nervous, anxious, thrilled and experienced many emotions during our stay. Kelcy was always reassuring. We developed a real trusting relationship with her. She knows how to listen and did all she could to make my wife's wishes come true. Breastfeeding for the first time is scary but with Kelcy's teaching and reassurance we felt successful. She always smiled when she entered our room and asked about both of us. We felt truly cared for, thanks to Kelcy and her team at Presbyterian.
