Debbie has been a nurse at Mammoth Hospital 12 years. She is a great team member. During her acceptance speech Debbie stated that she started her nursing career in her 40's and she thanked the entire nursing staff and Mammoth Hospital for making her the nurse she is today.

I gave birth at Mammoth Hospital to both my daughter (4/16/2009) and son (12/13/13) and there was one nurse at both births that I feel I could not have gotten through the labor and delivery as well as I did without her, Debbie Smart.

In my humble opinion, she is the epitome of the DAISY award. Her knowledge is excellent, but her care is beyond excellent. She made me feel so comfortable and at ease in her care that giving birth the first time was not as terrifying an experience as I anticipated. The second time around it was like having my best friend there to hold my hand. Debbie was just as attentive and caring as she had been the first time around, except that now it felt like a family member taking care of me and not someone I just met.

Debbie deserves the DAISY Award and all my thanks for her amazing, wonderful and excellent care. I hope that Mammoth Hospital realizes what a gem they have in nurse Debbie.
