1)...I was admitted with severe tonsillitis. A scary time for me for I could very easily have died. I was swollen to the point of being unable to breathe well and in extreme pain. Never in my life have I seen such compassionate and dedicated nurses. Infection was trying to spread throughout my body and prior to arriving at the ER, my temp had reached 103.6. The care that I received upon arrival and throughout my stay was excellent. As a team, the nurses were remarkable but there is one RN that made an impact on my life that I will never be able to thank her enough for. I was scared. I missed my children. I was in so much pain that I would have gladly, at one point, given anyone permission to take my head off my shoulders. Michelle found her calling in life when she became a nurse. Such care and compassion cannot be made up or pretended. Thank you Michelle for everything you did for me. You do your job and do it well but you go so very far beyond that.
2)I am a CNA at the McDowell Hospital and I have always thought Michelle was an asset to the nursing staff here. She is always willing to help anyone and never complains or makes comments about having to assist others. She really shows genuine sincerity when caring for her patients. I have never heard a complaint come from a patient about her. She is a wonderful person and I think she is a perfect candidate for this award!
