I met Brenda a couple of years ago when I was a patient in the hospital. She was my main nurse when she worked on the day shift. I was not feeling well and Brenda would come in and just listen and she brightened my days there. I felt she was my angel, being there for me.
I was blessed again by Brenda when she became our nurse in the IVT department. I was so happy to see her again. I have been getting fluids for 2 years now. The treatment is long for me, but I enjoy just being by Brenda. She soothes me as well as every patient who comes into the unit. We are always greeted with a smile and sometimes a hug. The different patients and I talk every session we go through. They say they couldn't get through their treatment without Brenda.
We all wanted to formally thank Brenda. Some of us cry, are anxious, dreading our treatment but going in and seeing our Brenda makes it so much better.
Brenda is a beautiful person, compassionate, caring, loving, and cares for each and every one of us. For her to make our treatment days fun or just know we can see her bright smile is worth more than you will ever know. I gave Brenda an angel and she proudly keeps it on her desk for all of us to see.
