I was blessed to have Tiffany for my nurse from Friday, February 7th until February 9th. I've been a patient at Baptist DeSoto for about two weeks and I've had to call to the desk for nurses to come to my room at least two times. Tiffany stood out because she would come to my room to make sure I was okay, and if I needed her. She would always have a pleasant attitude and willing to do anything to assist in my care. Tiffany was one nurse that would change my dressing on my leg. The other nurses would make sure I had supplies and I dressed my wound.

I was really impressed when the hospital allowed students to come and work with the nurses. Tiffany asked would I mind if the student came in to see my wound. She wanted them to see what a patient could have and they may need to help the patient. They came in and asked questions about the wound. She split them in two groups. It was educational for them. I felt good because someone was being helped by my misfortune. Tiffany stated that she had no one to show her anything during schooling and she wanted to help them to know and see different conditions patients may have.

Tiffany returned back to taking care of patient needs. I know that patient care is part of being a nurse but sometimes you come across someone that is caring and shows compassion of patients and they should be honored for going above her duties to make sure the patient has the best care.
