Mike faced many challenges in his new role during the year. These challenges included a completely new CQI system (TAMMA), as well as a new accreditation requirement of an Annual Summary Report. Mike took on this responsibility completing most of these duties while on duty as a flight nurse with AirMed. The work he did as the committee chair was noted as an "area of strength" during our 2013 CAMTS site survey.
Mike is responsible for compiling and reporting all data related to the quality goals of AirMed. Although he has an active CQI committee Mike facilitates all data collection, studies and processes improvement initiatives. One remarkable aspect of what Mike has done is the multi-disciplinary approach to quality improvement. AirMed involves many different disciplines aviation, medical, communications and safety.
