...Shuwanda showed compassion towards a family who was unable to enjoy the first few hours/days of their infant's life due to extreme medical conditions that resulted in the mother being transferred to another facility. Shuwanda took the time out of her day to dress the baby in a cute outfit, make a bow for her hat and snap a few photos of the baby. She then designed a small, decorative photo book for the baby and placed it in the baby's crib for the father and grandmother to take to the infant's mother. When the family saw this photo book, they were brought to tears and really appreciated this nurse's act of kindness. Weeks afterwards, the family continues to call the nursery and give updates on the mom.
