Tim has been the nurse who performs all endocrine provacative testing (growth hormone, ACTH, GnRH, etc) for children at VCUHS. He always starts early at 0800 to have all materials ready, he is well organized and dedicated to making this difficult 4 hour long test a comfortable and compassionate experience for the children. He monitors them very closely, is meticulous in his record of procedures and most importantly is very keen to evaluate patients and intervene when BP or blood sugar levels drop.

Tim was instrumental in safely correcting low blood pressure and low glucose levels on a patient being tested. He did so in a timely manner and maintained parent confidence despite the critical nature of these drops.

He is expert in managing these patients and deserving of the DAISY Award in recognition of his dedication and compassion.
