Laura saw me through a very rough night and I feel she deserves an award for the MANY trips she made to my room and did it with compassion and promptness. I was coughing up a lot of blood and I wasn't sure why. That alone was scary for me. I was having a bronchoscopy the next day. I didn't have anything to eat for over 24 hours and that night I didn't sleep. When coughing up blood Laura was at my side; what a comfort that was. On top of coughing up blood all night, I had to go to the bathroom at least once an hour, maybe more. I couldn't get my IV to the restroom without it being unplugged and needed help with that. I knew Laura had other patients but when I would ask for her she was in my room immediately. She never once acted like I was a bother. She had a lot of compassion and was with me when I needed someone the most.

Laura never administered any meds without first telling me what she was giving me. She was always sweet and pleasant and was truly interested in how I was feeling and what was going on with my health. That was a night I will never forget and I'll NEVER forget the kindness and the care Laura gave me.
