We will be forever grateful for Wendy. Words cannot express our gratitude and respect we have for her. Wendy took care of 2 of our quads. One night, she noticed one of our sons wasn't acting like himself. She knew them well enough to know - that's how connected she gets to the patients. It was that night that she alerted the doctors that she felt something was wrong and urged them to do an exam. That's how we discovered he had NEC. They caught it early because of Wendy's excellent skills and knowledge of our son. Who knows how long it would have gone unnoticed if Wendy hadn't been so in tune to his personality and so attentive to his needs.

Wendy is continually strengthening her skills by asking doctors specific questions so she can have a deeper understanding of things beyond what a typical nurse should know. She also takes time to get to know the families of the kids and has a very welcoming personality. Whenever I find out Wendy has the kids for the night, I rest easier knowing they are in good hands.
