I have never met a nurse that had such a caring touch, displayed true compassion, and is a true example of what a nurse should be. If JPS values integrity, excellence, and compassion. She is a wonderful example of all of those values. I never had to use my call light. Gabriela came and checked on my throughout the night even when I was sleeping. I could feel her presence in my room. She explained everything that she was doing. I didn't want to turn and she explained why it was important for me to turn. She is very involved. She made me feel like a human being.

I have seen many faces while I have been in the hospital and have heard many voices especially when I was not all with it. Gabriela had a caring nature. As I am writting this, I am gettin chills because I have never met someone with a warm spirit like she has. That made me feel comfortable and confident in my care. She called me by Ms. J every time she addressed me. She always offered to do more. She paid attention to details like how I liked to be positioned. She gave that information when she talked to the other nurses when she was leaving. She ended her shift with telling me "Ms. J I am leaving and you will have a good day today" and she smiled.

I want to do a dance for her because she made me feel so good as a patient. She is very deserving of a high honor for her care and compassion. She is a good flower blooming in the garden of JPS.
