Jill is in a unique position as the Employee Wellness Nurse for Mercy Gilbert because by not doing her "work" on the nursing unit, the significance of what she does is often overlooked. She shares her knowledge by imparting health eduction to the many employees, contractors and volunteers she encounters on a daily basis. She has meticulous attention to detail. She keeps the hospital in compliance by administering TB skin tests, immunizations and those dreaded flu shots! She has come back to the hospital numerous times after hours and weekends to oversee the care of employees who have had a needle stick or other health issues.

Jill has instinctive qualities regarding patient care. She treats her patients with dignity, respect and kindness during their most private and vulnerable moments. She makes sure her patients fully understand what is happening to them and guides then through the processes ( i.e. workman compensation). She worries about them long after they have left her office. She does all of this with such joy!

I often see employees stopping her in the halls to thank her for taking the time to listen and then giving her a big hug.

Jill has a God given gift and we at Mercy Gilbert are blessed to have her as part of our team.
