Anjelica is a remarkable nurse that shows compassion to people far beyond what is expected. Today, I am reminded of this again and I feel that her willingness to lend a hand exemplifies her dedication as a nurse not only to the patients, but to the families and staff around her.

Anjelica found out that her patient's husband had a foot wound that was bothering him. He voiced concern over leaving his wife while she was in surgery to go sit in the Emergency Room for himself. Anjelica spoke with him about the need to take care of himself and insisted he seek medical care and found out what clinic he used. Anjelica called the OR to find out how long her patient would be in surgery so she could get her patient's husband an appointment. She called the clinic of his choice and scheduled an appointment for him. He went for his appointment, but while he was gone, his wife came out of surgery. Anjelica called him and let him know his wife was ok. When he got back from his appointment that Anjelica made for him, she found out that he did have an infected foot wound and was treated appropriately at his doctor's visit. This shows what a heart of gold Anjelica has not only for her patients, but for their families as well.

Anjelica goes above and beyond in her care and employs the highest level of customer service, compassion, and excellent that a nurse can have! Thank you Anjelica for being the best and expecting the best!
