Lynet Moenga is recognized for her uncanny ability to influence others in a positive way. "Her spirit is contagious," says her nominator. She recently treated a young patient faced with deficits in speech, muscle coordination and thought processes. The patient later recovered and described Lynet as "empowering," since she treated her with such dedicated and intentionally supportive care.

Lynet is dedicated to the vision of JPS to be a regional and national leader in patient experience, improving quality and population health. Lynet developed and leads a group of six nursing professionals in a unit based patient satisfaction committee. In this committee, Lynet has flourished as the leader by igniting a passion within the group to complete several projects for the benefit of our patient's experience. Lynet continues her passion for improving the patient experience by serving as a member of the Medical-Surgical Division's patient satisfaction committee. In this committee, Lynet enthusiastically shares projects that have been completed at the unit base level including the "welcome basket" that is given to all new patients on Tower 9.
Lynet realized that the majority of the population that is served in our community is without simple means to meet basic hygiene practices. The "welcome basket" is all donated hygiene items that are given to each patient on admission to be utilized both during admission and after.
