Katie Keeney was nominated by 3 different people. This in itself shows her extraordinary care and compassion. All 3 nominations reflect her teamwork, professionalism, efficiency, work ethic, conscientiousness, positive attitude and job performance.

Katie is never one to say "it's not my job", she is up and helping out everywhere, and at any time she is needed. She has helped out in Cardiopulmonary, is always out on the M/S floor, when she is scheduled in the ER, assisting when she can. She consistently exemplifies the mission, vision and values of DCH. Katie is energetic and passionate about patient care, she is thoughtful, compassionate and caring in all situations. Katie takes the time to educate and include the patient and their family during the course of their stay.

Katie has expanded her knowledge since she has been a nurse at DCH, she recently has started working on the ambulance as a nurse exempt, helping out this department, the hospital, and the community we serve, when we are short on paramedics.

Katie never demands attention and does not expect special treatment for doing her job. She has a strong work ethic and provides outstanding care to our patients. She is a great patient advocate as well.
