A grateful adult patient who was an overflow admission on our pediatric unit took the time to write:

"I was alone with no family around when I was told I had colon cancer. Susan held my hand, let me cry on her shoulder, and prayed with me. Susan went way beyond her duties every night to make me feel loved and cared about until my family arrived from out of state. I only got to be around her for a few days, but this God loving lady will always be very special to me!"
