Kingston came to St. Elizabeth as part of the newly formed System Float Pool. His compassion is evident. He is actually from Zimbabwe where his first degree was in Electrical Engineering. He came to the US and later followed his calling and went to nursing school. He is so humble and kind. I emailed him after I received an email from the Edgewood Patient Rep and she reported: B was a patient on 4D and I wanted to take a moment to share his comment with you. B said, "Kingston was one of the best nurses he has ever met!" Kingston, thanks for your outstanding care and leaving a lasting impression for B and his wife!
Kingston provides great care to all of his patients. When I emailed him the comment and thanked him, this is the response I received, "Always a pleasure to take care of my patient. I love what I do. I always take care of my patients as if they are foreigners. They are in a foreign land away from home and their loved ones, surrounded by strangers, scared with a disease process they do not understand and have no idea of the outcome. Easing their fears and making them comfortable, keeping them informed and advocating for them has always and will always be my priority. It's a great feeling to hear such feedback. I appreciate it.
