Kaitlin's nominator, who was a patient of hers, stated that he told Kaitlin that he couldn't afford his medications and she went out of her way to see that he got them. "She should be totally commended. God bless you, Kaitlin," the nominator said.

Kaitlin is described by her peers as "an excellent preceptor to nursing students and new nurses." As well as being a great team leader, she's also described as "bubbly;" she always has a smile on her face and knows how to make work fun for everyone. Kaitlin has even been known to say that she loves coming to work. She is loved by her patients and co-workers and her passion for nursing is evident in the way she cares for them.

Because of Kaitlin's compassionate and caring efforts, her patients experience a level of care that exemplifies the impact nurses have in creating an environment where patients and families feel at home.
