My father was in the hospital with a bad heart. He had a catheterization done and the outlook is not good for my dad. Devin was my dad's nurse on the second day of his stay. Devin was always pleasant and had a great bedside manner. He was very caring not only to my dad but to the whole family. He made my dad feel at ease and comfortable. He went above and beyond what he needed to do with everything. While giving his report to the nurse who came on after him my dad's blood pressure started to drop. Even after his shift was done he stayed around to make sure my dad was ok.
Devin then told us that he wouldn't be in the hospital for the next three days. The day he came back to work, we talked to Devin in the elevator and he informed us that our dad had been moved to another room. As he showed us where the room was he noticed that there were no chairs for us. Without hesitation, he found us chairs.
My sister mentioned to Devin that our dad said he wasn't feeling good. Without hesitation, he sprang right into action to help my dad. Devin wasn't his nurse this day. My dad was having a mini-stroke and Devin did all that was needed for him. He didn't say, "I'll get his nurse". He helped us.
We cannot say enough good about this young man. He is awesome all ways around. We need more great people like Devin, especially for the elderly or anyone. He is the best nurse we have ever had. All your nurses have been very good, but Devin really stands out above them all.
