Sally is the sole nurse at Village on Cass. With an average of 25 to 30 residents at any given time, she works to keep everyone healthy. While residential settings often have a yearly epidemic of flu. I think it is exemplary, that in the 9 years that Sally has been the nurse at Village on Cass, there has never been a flu epidemic. This is due to her teaching practices of the staff, and diligence in always being on top of any illness that a resident may have.

She is an advocate for our residents. She has also played a major role in the interim between managers in the past year. She has been a leader that all staff can depend on to make sure that we have smooth day to day operation of our facility. Working with Leading Age, a State of WI for profit Senior Care Organization, Sally has updated our policies and keeps staff abreast of all changes. Sally deserves this DAISY award for the care, compassion and expertise that she brings to Village on Cass residents and staff every day.
