Michelle Ballard is actively involved in community service, highly educated, strives for patient excellence, and provides high quality nursing care to all her patients on a daily basis; but ultimately she is a leader.
A nursing leader is not an easy mission, and it is not for everyone, she takes on the role with finesse. Her positive attitude, confidence, experience, and natural nursing intuition make her an exemplar and a role model for nurses at Val Verde Regional Medical Center. Her sense of humor not only makes her approachable and amicable, but also provides a positive working environment that is gratifying.
She has taken on leadership roles within different areas of the Hospital. As a nursing preceptor for new nursing staff she demonstrates strong dedication and commitment to providing excellent patient care, and helps other nurses to achieve their highest potential. She has personally helped me to grow into the nurse I am today, the results of her leadership and guidance can be seen hospital wide.
Michelle has leadership skills like no other. She has been integral in taking her unit to the next level. With new physicians and new procedures in her department she has really taken the lead and in new policies. She has worked closely with these new physicians to ensure their satisfaction. Without her leadership it would not have evolved as smoothly as it has.
