LaShonda is a nice person. She always helps me with medicine refills. One day, I had been to the hospital and I needed a prescription and my Doctor wasn't seeing patients. Honey, she got up and I don't know what she did but my Doctor wrote the prescription. She is a good nurse and did whatever she needed to do to take care of me. I thank God for her.

LaShonda Rice is a patient favorite. She is the one you want to take care of you should you ever find yourself on the other side of the 'sick bed'. Not only is she is a caring and compassionate individual but she has a knack of maintaining a positive outlook that brings a smile to the patient's face when they are having a bad day.
She consistently seeks out new knowledge and shares this information with her work mates throughout the day. She is the first to volunteer to take on PI projects and took it upon herself to make a helpful hints list of HIV medications for other nurses that join the team. She is inquisitive and is often heard asking the providers about how and why in regards to the plan of care for her patients. This allows her to have an in-depth understanding which allows her to tailor her approach with the patients discharge teaching that will uniquely fit their situation.
