Upon our first greeting, Holli was bubbly and smiley, even as I was feeling low. She saw my anguish and showed genuine concern and sympathy, which meant a lot for me emotionally. She always remained extremely attentive and payed so much attention to detail. Never once did I have to repeat myself or request something twice. Another spectacular trait of Holli is that she has a natural ability to comfort. I never felt ashamed or embarrassed about my condition or weakness in front of her. She never once made me feel that I bothered her and in fact, she always took initiative and appeared eager to make sure that I was always completely comfortable. I understand that nurse's day is busy and sometimes chaotic most times, and that many simply do not have the time or maybe the ability to lend much emotional support. Holli is the exception, at a weak moment as I cried one night, she stood next to me, held my hands and said "it's going to be ok." To her those 5 words with authentic sincerity made all the difference. Her traits, character and kindness make her the ideal professional, and she should be praised and modeled.
