My wife had colon cancer surgery at Carroll last year and was expertly supported by the 3rd Floor nursing staff. Unfortunately, my wife is back at the Hospital with a blockage setback the onset of which came within hours after deplaning at BWI. Sadly, she was there for post chemo/radiation recuperation with her sister in St. Augustine. As (bad) luck would have it she also had to be admitted during this Florida trip due to adhesions - and surgery to remove.
Anyway, she has been on your 4th-floor wing since Thursday and is being well cared for by your team. In particular, I wanted to point out the performance of Brittany. All your staff is very good, but Brittany provides a holistic package of care and just seems to go that extra mile to explain things, plan things, communicate and gives off a feeling of confidence that accrues to the patient - in this case my wife. Obviously, she is an excellent technical nurse as well. First time I saw her in action was today, and I left my wife knowing she was in extremely good hands.
