My experience with Rhonda was a breath of fresh air. The minute Rhonda walked in, she came in with a positive attitude and stated, "Let's have a baby today!" After being in the hospital for 3 days I began to feel defeated. I immediately expressed this to Rhonda and she showed the utmost concern and made me feel like my feelings mattered and that I wasn't just another patient.
Her main concern coming into my room was my comfort and cleanliness. She immediately helped me get cleaned up. She was taking steps to help me progress. She always took the extra step to ask if there was anything else she could do to help as well as asking my family if they needed anything.
Shortly after, Rhonda came in with the doctor because she was concerned something was not right, because my labor was not progressing and my baby was having late decelerations. This made me feel like I was important to Rhonda like I was someone in her family, and that she cared about me. My baby ended up having the cord wrapped around her neck 3 times. If it weren't for Rhonda I don't know if my baby would be here today. That day she was mine and my daughter's guardian angel.
She was so attentive and such a great advocate for me. She is hands down the best nurse I have ever had. I cannot thank her enough for what she did for me. She goes above and beyond and shows so much compassion towards not only the patient but also their family. I will forever be grateful to her and cannot wait to tell my daughter about the amazing nurse who saved her life.
