From the start of my 6-day stay, Nichole stood out to me with her friendly demeanor, professional work ethic, and overall kind heart. I was in extreme pain and she went over and above to try to cheer me up every time she entered the room. She never left the room without asking if there was anything I needed.
Every time any procedure was necessary she explained what was happening and how it affected me and my condition. I could hear her interaction with any roommate, other staff and my family as I was bed bound my entire stay. She always took the time for casual conversation with me and my family always with a smile and genuine compassion.
As I was in a lot of pain she always encouraged me when they had to move me for MRI and X-Ray over several times. She always answered questions posed by myself and my family even if she had to go get the answer from another staff member. Her interaction with the doctor showed her professionalism and also her sense of humor which put me at ease. Nichole is a true DAISY Nurse.

As K's sister, I was there every day that he was. Nichole knew us on sight and always made sure we knew how K was doing. She answered every question his other sister and I had. When humor was needed as he got depressed, she had a way of making him smile and laugh. She checked on him with a smile on her face and truly made him feel better.
She did not minimize the fact he was in extreme pain, she tried to help him work through the pain. She was so very professional but also so very human in her interaction with all of us. We were as stressed as K was and she made sure we felt better when we left the room every time we were there.
She gives nurses a good name, she deserves to be recognized. She has my heartfelt thanks for the time she spent with K.
