Stephanie has led the UHS Dialysis Department for 3 consecutive years and all 4 of the Adult Outpatient Dialysis Clinics achieving 5 STAR Rating, which is well above average. The STAR rating and the Dialysis Facility Report (DFR) for FY 2019 illustrates the quality of care the UHS dialysis staff is providing to the ESRD population in comparison to other caregivers in this state, ESRD Network, and across the United States. This is one of 7,346 reports that have been distributed to ESRD providers in the U.S. This report includes summaries of patient characteristics, treatment patterns, and patient outcomes for chronic dialysis patients who were treated in this facility between January 2014 and December 2017. The STAR Rating calculation includes hospitalizations (admissions and readmissions), deaths, transfusions, or fistula rate, infections, hemoglobin, mineral and bone disorder, dialysis adequacy and nutritional status measures, long-term catheter reported in CROWNWeb, patient experience of care. This continued sustainment of quality and safe care is a direct reflection of the leadership and oversight each of these team members provides to the UHS ESRD patient population.
