My son and I were admitted and already had a tremendous amount on our plate with dealing with the pharmacy specialty and the insurance and doctors office on getting very rare chemo drugs shipped to the hospital. After hours of calls, Wendy noticed very early that my patience was at the limit. She quickly gathered hospital staff and made calls to help. She faxed prescriptions to the pharmacy multiple times, was extemely flexible when the story changed every 5 minutes and spent time listening to us. In the meantime she took very good care of my son. Brought him a special pillow because of his pain. She spoke quietly with him, asked him over and over about his pain, if she could get him anything, us anything. She was extremely instrumental in getting all the outstanding items wrapped up when we checked out. She was hopping all day, coordinating with docs, pharmacists, me, clinic, etc. She is an awesome nurse!
