There is such a different feeling being the patient after being the caregiver for so many years! It is so difficult to ask for help - as we in the field just desire to HELP OTHERS, but as I would request whatever it was from Lisa, she would never hesitate (as I continued to apologize for bothering her she continued to remind me that there is nothing to be sorry for). "That is what we are here for, my dear" Lisa would say, as she would run around and I mean run! She ensured all of her patients would have whatever they needed or wanted to help begin their day.

For me, she always made sure that I ate! (I would order late). She always made sure that I had an extra full cup of ice water and ice (which I craved - Ice chips). She truly, truly cared about my comfort and how I was doing in regards to my pain level. I will forever be grateful to for her help and for bringing me my meds (whatever that may be) throughout the day, always telling me what I was being given and when next dose was due.

Lisa truly goes above and beyond and cares about all aspects of the patients well being. She embodies the hospital foundation of mission, vision and values and no matter how many patients there are; each one feels special, important, worth something and truly cared for. Lisa truly cared about my story and family. I had a very difficult past few years. Lisa sympathized with me while still motivating me and pushing me to gain strength each day.
