We cared for an elderly COVID positive patient who was transitioned to comfort care but due to her medical needs, her family was unable to visit. Ashley dressed in full PPE and sat with this patient (whom she wasn't assigned to care for that shift) until she passed. She truly demonstrated the love, compassion, and kindness that is the heart of a nurse and lived out the promise 'no one dies alone.'
