Kylee is a strong patient advocate and leads her staff to work with complex patients to get the best outcome. She has strong persuasion skills and has helped her team grow to their potential. Kylee is great at motivating staff to perform at their highest level. She allows co-workers to be involved in decision making and takes our Huddles very seriously.
I have heard other nurses say, "This girl means business!"
It is no surprise then we received a DAISY nomination for Kylee Stennett, Nurse Manager of 4B Cardiac. The nomination reads:
"We took care of a patient on our floor for several days who several times had threatened to leave AMA. Each day, Kylee took time from her schedule and spent time with the patient, working on convincing her to stay in the hospital for treatment. In May - the patient's son was graduating from college at MSU. This patient again wanted to leave AMA. Kylee spent much of her day facilitating a SKYPE setup so the patient didn't have to miss her son's special day."
This is just one example of how Kylee goes above and beyond for our patients. She is a role model for all of us!
