Nomination comes from the patient's family in which they called the Director and mailed a card thanking Shameca. The patient was their mother who passed away, but the family stated

"Words cannot express our gratitude for your compassionate care of our mother. Your kind and gentle spirit provided the calm we needed at that time. We are forever grateful."

The family also stated that Shameca's spirit and personality helped calm not only their mother, but the family as well during this difficult time.
