My daughter has been an impatient at RRUCLA-MC continuously for the past 10 months. She received a liver transplant in March but her post op has been challenged by numerous complications. She now seems to be improving and Nurse Baird has played a significant part in that. A few moments ago my daughter was moved from the ICU to 8North where Nurse Baird would be. Even though he is not assigned directly to her care every day, he repeatedly has gone out of his way to make himself available to help her even when not assigned to her case (e.g. moving her from chair to bed or vice versa when the lift team is not rarely available and assigned nurses are not strong enough or available to do it. Suctioning her trach when needed or when assigned nurses were busy even then.) His cheerful and positive attitude is great. He does these extra things for other patients too. The nursing care my daughter has received here has been excellent but Baird's performance really stands out.
