We fellow nurses wanted to take a moment to recognize Joyce Nix as being one of the most compassionate, spirit-filled, caring nurses we have known. She is our source of knowledge and encouragement.
When working with her you will constantly hear her say, "Do you need anything?" She as a charge nurse routinely takes the more difficult assignments because that is who she is. If you have a difficult patient or stressful situation you can count on Joyce being right there with you. If you have a difficult IV Joyce is the one you call. I could sit here all day long and tell you how great she is, but my words would not do justice. I invite you to come to see it for yourself.
The easiest way to explain her would be the selfless/compassionate rock of CICU. You can always count on her. She is and will always be there. When you come in and see Joyce you instantly know everything will be okay.
