From the second Kathy arrived on our unit, we recognized her ambitious nature, elite nursing skills, and compassion, and love for her job as an RN. Kathy is punctual and always helpful with all staff. She has a calming nature which puts many at ease. Kathy seems to excel at Epic and all nursing procedures. She came to our unit after several years on a step-down unit, and quickly became charge and is a true leader. We all feel that when Kathy is at the helm, it will be a great day for all! We are absolutely fortunate to have Kathy on our unit. She is a true asset to 3-1 and St. Francis Hospital in general. There is not one specific incident I can point out where Kathy shines because the times are countless and every day. She is absolutely lovely and is a treasure. I have worked at St. Francis for almost 36 years. Many Extraordinary Nurses have come my way but none as truly exceptional as Kathy Monroe.
