Because of a traumatic childhood surgery at a hospital in Brooklyn, I have dreaded the day I would find myself in a hospital. Last Monday, that happened. Thankfully, God blessed me with Bonny as my nurse. She carries out her job with style and grace. She always has a smile on her face, even at 7:00 am. Her welcoming, warm attitude made me feel safe confiding my fears to her. She listened and did her best to reassure me. From that moment on, we became partners in my health journey. We worked out ways to make my treatments and vital checkings less intimidating and more comfortable for me. Her total focus was on me as she patiently met my every need.
